JOB TITLE: Kitchen Supervisor
Reports to : Executive Chef/General Manager/


POSITION SUMMARY At Auriemma's Restaurant Group your role is a part of the key to our success.
Serves customer of restaurant by performing the following duties. Providing leadership in the kitchen and on stations by managing employees, ordering raw materials, and supplies filling out daily production sheets, managing policies and procedures and assisting employees with set-up and cooking needs.
You will ensure outstanding quality by following corporate developed recipes for preparation and cooking. Assure cleanliness of an open air station by adhering to strict sanitation procedures.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Possess and excellent knowledge of all stations and operational procedures.
Maintain food quality standards without variations; maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation; and maintain all equipment in food working order.
Supervise kitchen and staff to achieve maximum production and efficiency; participate in the interviewing, hiring, and training of all kitchen staff.
Develop and maintain all production schedules and procedures for ordering and inventory maintenance.
Organize and maintain all food storage areas.
Assist in the controlling of expenses and the achieving of food and labor costs.
Assist in managing the accurate department records to ensure documentation of required forms.
Ensure that proper procedures are being followed to avoid out of stocks.
Promote the continuous development of employees through instruction, training, mentoring and coaching.
Assist in the recognition of employees that show the promise for future management positions.
Assist in providing leadership that exemplifies a Passion for Great Food.Fast.
Assist in the daily production of foods.
Performs any and all kitchen functions as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS

Read and interpret forms, recipes and documents as they apply
Extensive knowledge of foods and cooking techniques
Experience working with modern cooking equipment
Complete understanding of safety, sanitation and equipment maintenance programs
Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Ability to understand Executive Chefs directives concerning P & L statements, labor and food costs.
Ability to execute Executive Chefs directives concerning food preparation.
Ability to plan, organize, direct and control.

Perform duties that require reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, standing and moving for up to 8 hours.
Lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 60 pounds, throughout entire shift; place these items on high and low shelves in store rooms, walk-ins, and freezers.
Hear well in loud environments
Handle cleaning and sanitizing compounds
Immerse hands in water frequently
Work in a hot environment



EDUCATION :
High School Diploma
6 years kitchen supervisor experience with proven record
Culinary Degree a plus

EXPERIENCE : 6 years related experience demonstrating a drive and passion for the foodservice industry.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
