Front Desk Manager

The Microtel Inn & Suites is looking for a Front Desk Manager. This positions supervises, instructs and directs work activities of all front desk associates in work methods and procedures. Ensures courteous treatment and efficient services to guests. Maintains liaison with General Manager, Maintenance and Executive Housekeeper to achieve the company's objectives.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Two years of college or equivalent preferred.
Previous Front Desk experience preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
Participates in the preparation of annual department budget and operates within approved budget.
Supervises day-to-day operations of the front desk and work activities of assigned personnel.
Supervises front desk personnel to ensure reservations are immediately acknowledged and correctly recorded.
Works closely with Executive Housekeeper and Manager and informs them of occupancy forecasts and any changes.
Conducts weekly department meeting for personnel.
Schedules and staffs all front desk personnel to meet the needs of the guests.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
