Utz Cosmetic & Family Dentistry Utz Cosmetic & Family Dentistry Uncasville, CT Uncasville, CT Part-time Part-time $24 - $25 an hour $24 - $25 an hour 10 days ago 10 days ago 10 days ago Duties - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Take and develop dental x-rays - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic dental software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix) - Perform basic dental laboratory procedures such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns - Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized dental operatory Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience - X-ray certification required - Experience working with pediatric patients preferred - Knowledge of medical coding and insurance billing procedures - Familiarity with medical imaging software and equipment - Strong patient assessment skills and ability to provide compassionate care - Proficient in using electronic dental software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix) - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality Note:
