Summary:
This position is responsible for architecture, specification, and analysis of Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment's (MGE) public and private cloud server infrastructure, including optimizing cloud costs and servers, maintenance, and backup/recovery. Evaluates and recommends new products and maintains knowledge of emerging technologies for application to the enterprise. Monitors the cloud environment and is proactive in assessing and making recommendations for improvement. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for technical architecture and making recommendations related to cloud solutions for Amazon Web Service (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and/or Microsoft Azure including M365 Collaboration. Continuously optimizes the cloud environments to provide best costs, performance, and availability. Is a top-level technical contributor with advanced knowledge and experience in the area of Cloud Architecture and related topics Maintains a high level of technical expertise and knowledge of current products, to determine which best meet the organization's needs. Presents information and recommendations to management that may result in the purchase and installation of hardware, software and equipment. Authors, reviews, and maintains technical documentation and library of functional specifications. Acts as an internal consultant and mentor, providing technical guidance to junior staff. Ensures Service Level Objectives are met. Works with management, peers and vendors to design and implement hardware/software configurations, logical models, operational management models, and business continuity plans for systems under management. Works with management, peers, and vendors to provide ongoing monitoring, performance tuning, implementation, and fault root cause analysis for systems under management. Creates and maintains troubleshooting and operational documentation for all systems under management. Authors and peer-reviews knowledgebase articles documenting fault root causes and their respective resolutions. Provides and receives cross-discipline training in order to ensure maximum availability of systems under management. Carries and responds to off-hours communications device in order to provide 24x7 support for systems under management. Minimum Education and
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, and four years of experience as a Cloud Administrator directly supporting enterprise infrastructure for a corporation of at least 2,000 employees OR Associates Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, and six years of experience as a Cloud Administrator directly supporting enterprise infrastructure for a corporation of at least 2,000 employees AND Ability to obtain and maintain gaming licensure in one or more jurisdictions, as required Must possess advanced knowledge of a primary cloud provider (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Azure) (Certifications in one or more preferred) Experience in CICDCT systems Experience in DevOps, Containers, Micro Services Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks Demonstrated ability to read analyze and interpret complex technical documentation required Experience in using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex problems Communicates effectively verbally, and in written form
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
