Apple Rehab Uncasville - General Purpose:
An activities aide is responsible for helping with physical, educational, or social activities.
As an activities aide, your duties revolve around assisting residents or patients with use of equipment, and planning and monitoring their participation in various activities.
Qualifications:
o AHCA Temporary Nursing Assistant Certificate (The TNA course is a free, online, self-paced 8-hour certification.
)o Experience in rehabilitative or geriatric setting preferred.
o Attention to detail, good follow through skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
o Demonstrating cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team.
o Must be innovative and be able to find creative ways to service a variety of resident needs and maintain the customer focus.
o Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the residents and their support networks.
o Must have a vehicle and valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
COVID 19 vaccine Administrative Functions:
Encourages resident participation in therapeutic recreational activities as directed by the Facility Recreation Director.
Provides one on one companionship.
Assists in providing services to residents including but not limited to:
o Answer Call Lightso Make beds /change sheets on shower dayo Clean / wipe down bedside tables, dressers, and nightstandso Pass Water Pitchers, refill as neededo Mealtime - pass drinks, place silverware and placemat.
o Assist with Transport to / from Dining room, Hairdresser, Health Drive, Recreationo Pass nourishmentsAbout the Company:
